Garth Baxter’s And Death Shall Have No Dominion, for chorus and orchestra, has been named a Gold Medal Winner in the 2026 Global Music Awards.
Released by Navona Records in April 2026, the work brings together the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and Kühn Choir of Prague in a powerful musical setting inspired by Dylan Thomas’s celebrated poem. The work explores mortality, resilience, and transcendence through Baxter’s characteristically lyrical and expressive musical language.
The Global Music Awards, internationally recognized for honoring distinguished musical achievement, described its Gold Medal recognition as a mark of substantial artistic accomplishment.
